Solenoid-operated directional control valves from Festo use the force of solenoids to open and close valves. In this case, the solenoid serves as a control module that “opens” or “closes” the medium within a line (NC / NO). When electrical current is applied to the magnet, the valve is activated, and this in turn operates either directly and servo-controlled or force pilot operated, depending on the control type.

Festo one-way flow control valves can be used to regulate the piston speed of pneumatic actuators in the flow and return. This is achieved by reducing the flow rate in the exhaust air or supply air direction. The one-way flow control function acts in the opposite direction.
Festo offers proportional valves for both pressure and flow control. Applications which require closed loop control of pneumatic circuits with continuous adjustment will benefit from Festo’s advanced offering.
